Angela was a teacher of English in secondary and tertiary education on the Isle of Man until the last ten years of her working life when she retrained as a teacher of deaf children. She worked with children from 18 months to 18 years old in homes, nurseries and schools. As part of that retraining she learned British Sign language and also Sign Supported English and fully signed English as tools to enhance communication with the learners. She has watched great interpreters use sign to tell stories to children and loves being part of the Manx Family Concerts team.
